SOMERS HOSPICE HOUSE

Johnson, Avedano, Lopez, Rodriguez & Walewski Engineering Group provided HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical Engineering Design Services for this new 33,636 square foot, 16-bed hospice house for Good Shepherd Hospice.

The facility is situated on six acres at 1110 Hammock Road in Sebring. The Bud and Donna Somers Hospice House and Resource Center was designed to include sustainable design technologies such as daylight harvesting, heat recovery units, automatic lighting controls with occupancy sensors; energy efficient lighting and CO2 based demand control ventilation.

The Mechanical and Electrical Engineering documents for this project were developed using Autodesk’s Revit Building Information Modeling (BIM) application allowing our engineers to design the building systems in three-dimension.
