FUTURE HOUSE USA

With billions of people focusing their attention on the 2008 Olympic events in Beijing, the Chinese Ministry of Construction sponsored the Future House Community project in order to bring attention to sustainable energy building practices. Ten countries designed and built their Future House as part of the first international sustainable energy community.  Future House USA represents the United States in this endeavor.

Working together with Florida International University's College of Engineering and Computing, Johnson, Avedano, Lopez, Rodriguez & Walewski Engineering Group provided Electrical Engineering for Power and Lighting Systems and Energy Management System Development, Integration and Design for this very exciting project.

Sustainable design technologies that were implemented in this project include automatic lighting controls with occupancy sensors, energy efficient lighting and photovoltaic panels.
