Everglades Hall provides housing for 388 students. It was the second phase to University Park Towers. The 6-Story building with three wings completes the housing quad creating a courtyard that has recreational pool area. The building has a total area of 154,000 square feet. Our Firm provided HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical Engineering services for this facility.
The first floor contains laundry, mechanical spaces, lounges, classrooms, computer labs, a 24-hour front desk with one wing specifically for residents. Students reside on floors two through six. The building contains several common areas and study lounges.
The typical student room accommodation is a private sleeping room within a three bedroom apartment suite that has one bathroom, kitchen. Each bedroom has Ethernet connection, local telephone service, and cable TV service. Each suite has a dedicated fan coil unit for heating/cooling. The building has a standby generator. The building chilled water HVAC system is served from the campus wide chilled water plant.
